The Growing Problem of Trailers Thefts

From Georgia to California and in virtually every state in the US, there is a serious trailer theft problem.
A recent story was reported in Western Nevada County California, where a man’s dream of starting his own business was shattered when his cargo trailer with $30,000.00 worth of tools were stolen.
Another story was reported that in Daytona Beach Florida, a man’s brand new Ford Pickup and brand new motorcycle trailer with brand new Harleys were all stolen the first night he arrived in town.
Then there was the story of a man traveling from Canada to Louisiana. Someone attempted to steel his truck and trailer. While they managed to defeat the truck’s security system, when they attempted to drive off, the Trailer Alarm System locked the trailer brakes and foiled the thief’s attempt to steal the truck and trailer. While thousands of motorcyclists who tow their bikes to big events like Daytona Bike Week and Sturgis are at risk, construction companies and contractors loose millions of dollars each year when their trailers are stolen. Virtually anyone who owns a cargo trailer and tows anything of value is at risk.
